Dr. Greg Marchand regularly takes on outside collaborators for systematic reviews and meta-analyses in gynecologic surgery and women’s health. If you have a question worth answering, he would like to hear it — whether you are a resident with a good idea and no methodologist, an established group looking for a partner with meta-analytic capacity, or an editor commissioning a review.

What Makes a Good Proposal
Dr. Marchand is most interested in questions where a decision is being made routinely on contested, outdated or unpooled evidence, and where answering it would change practice. In practice that usually means at least a handful of comparative studies exist, ideally randomized, and no current high-quality synthesis covers them.
A strong proposal tells him, in a paragraph or two: the clinical question in PICO form (population, intervention, comparator, outcome); why it matters now; roughly what literature you believe exists; whether a recent review already covers it; and what you would want your own role to be.
He is equally glad to hear that you have a question but no capacity to run the review, and equally glad to hear that you have capacity but no question.
What Dr. Marchand Provides
Accepted collaborations get access to his standing methodology: PROSPERO protocol registration, a four-database search strategy, dual independent screening and extraction, Cochrane RoB 2 and equivalent appraisal, statistical support for random-effects pooling and network or time-stratified analysis where appropriate, and manuscript preparation and submission support. Dr. Marchand does not charge collaborators, and does not pay for authorship. Authorship follows ICMJE criteria and is earned by contribution — see his authorship policy.
What Dr. Marchand Will Not Do
He does not accept industry funding or industry-directed research questions. He does not sell, trade or gift authorship positions. He does not ghost-write. He will not agree in advance to reach a particular conclusion, and he reserves the right to publish a null or unfavorable result.

Dr. Marchand will be at the AAGL 2026 Global Congress in Boston, November 13–16, 2026, presenting on pediatric adnexal mass surgery and on miniature versus single-port laparoscopy in hysterectomy; and at SLS Minimally Invasive Surgery Week 2026 in Orlando, December 2–5, 2026, where his Bulkamid systematic review has an oral presentation on December 3.
