The study focuses on salpingectomy, or removal of the fallopian tubes for sterilization and to reduce the risk of ovarian cancer. About Dr. Greg Marchand
Greg J. Marchand, MD, FACS, FACOG, FICS, is a dual board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist and minimally invasive gynecologic surgeon practising in Mesa, Arizona. He holds the ABOG Focused Practice Designation in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery and directs the Marchand Institute for Minimally Invasive Surgery, a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt non-profit research and educational corporation (EIN 42-2857240). He is Program Director of an SLS-accredited fellowship in Minimally Invasive and Robotic Gynecologic Surgery, holds three issued United States patents, and has served as Principal Investigator on eight FDA clinical trials. His systematic reviews are prospectively registered with PROSPERO, reported to PRISMA standards and appraised with the Cochrane Risk of Bias 2 tool. He accepts no industry funding for his research.
